Bridgewalk

There are two bridges that span Halifax Harbour and this is the smaller of the two. It’s the MacDonald bridge and it’s the only one you can walk and bike across. Recently it underwent a massive retrofit. It was only the second time in the World that a bridge remained open while entire sections of it were replaced. It’s now higher than it was so that the largest container ships can pass underneath. If you’re curious google The Big Lift and see some amazing night-time footage of the work done on this bridge.
