Inspired by the immersive dioramas of natural history museums, this mixed media painting combines richly detailed wildlife portraiture with a stylized, sweeping landscape. Two brown bears wade through a river teeming with salmon — one mid-catch, the other soaked and staring straight ahead — while a fish against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks, layered valleys, and dark spruce silhouettes.
